Customs Clearance for Goods Entering and Leaving the UK
Every consignment crossing the UK border needs a customs declaration. For imports that means a UK import entry with the right commodity code, value and origin, and payment of any duty and import VAT. For exports it means a GB export declaration, with the right evidence that the goods have left, so VAT zero-rating and any trade-agreement preferences are protected.
GEIM prepares both. We check the documents before the goods move, file the declaration, raise the transit document and GMR where the route needs them, and stay on the movement until the goods are cleared.
We work at Dover, Folkestone, Harwich, Felixstowe, Southampton, Immingham and other UK ports and airports.
